Krushi Vigyan Kenda, Mangalbharti, is located on Dabhoi-Bodeli highway in Sankheda Taluka of Vadodara District of Gujarat state. It is 9 km near from taluka head quarter i.e. Sankheda and 48 km away from district head quarter i.e. Vadodara. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mangalbharti started functioning from the year 1995 with financial assistance from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (I.C.A.R.), New Delhi under the administrative control of Mangalbharti Trust working in the Sankheda Taluka.

Vadodara District is an historical district in middle part of the Gujarat state. Which was formed with 1543 villages in 12 Talukas namely (1) Vadodara, (2) Dabhoi, (3) Savli, (4) Karjan, (5) Padra, (6) Sankheda, (7) (8) Kawant, (9) Chhotaudaipur, (10) Naswadi, (11) Waghodia (12) Sinor. Total population of the district is about 36.42 lakh, Male population is 52per cent, while 48 per cent of the population consist of female. 6 per cent of the populations belong to scheduled caste category. However, the percentage of scheduled tribe population is 27 per cent. The soils of the Vadodara district are Medium black to Black. The main source of irrigation is canal irrigation of Narmada irrigation Project and rest is with lift irrigation.

The average rainfall of Vadodara district is 800-1000 mm, however, during the year 2010-11 total 1299.5 mm rainfall was received, while average maximum and minimum temperature ranges from 29.7 to 43.0 0C and 10.9 to 27.0 0C, respectively. The average relative humidity during the year ranges from 39.5 to 86.9 per cent.

Mangal Bharti Vidyapeeth was launched on 1st July, 1972 at the hands of the Late Pujya Ravi Shankar Maharaj. It has folk education and farming college as the top priority plan. The Mangal Bharti Vidyapeeth is located at Golagamdi, Dist. Sankheda.

It also runs various projects for the upliftment of nations viz., Village development extension programme, Gopalan-cattle breeding and conservation, Child and women development, Health service, Charity hospital, Blind relief programme, Watershed, Hariyali etc. alongwith KVK of ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation, Govt. of India, New Delhi from the year 1995.
